Pastor Joseph Mulungi

Pastor

Jinja, Uganda is the location of the source of the Nile River as it flows north out of Lake Victoria. It was from this river, where thousands of years earlier, the infant Moses was delivered from certain death. Uganda is a nation of a multitude of orphans. Pastor Joseph Mulungi was moved to do something about this glaring need. With some American partners he built a group home in a rural area outside of Jinja in 2006 which currently houses 8 living in the home while 6 are in boarding school. Since 2006 they have had 20 children they have cared for in the home. On this site, there are fruit trees, a garden grows, and a cow for milking all overlooking Lake Victoria in the distance. Compassion for Africa has brought the original home which had no plumbing, lights or water up to standard. CFA has provided education for every child who has lived in the home including five years of boarding school for most of the children. Pastor Joseph and his wife Betty, along with devoted house mother Edith, have cared for the children living in the home with excellence. As Moses was delivered from the Nile, abandoned children have been delivered from despair and poverty.
