Tracy: Date of Birth: August 18, 2013: Tracy was brought to the attention of Kenyan Child Services Agency through a report from a neighbor living near where she was staying with a distant Uncle. Tracy’s mother and grandmother both suffer from deep mental illnesses, thus she was passed through the hands and homes of many relatives. Yet none were able to give her the care or education she deserved. This Uncle, using Tracy as only house help and providing no education was arrested and served time in jail unable to prove true guardianship. Child Services brought Tracy to Cana Rescue Centre while they searched for her real reliable family, none was to be found. Cana Rescue Centre Director contacted Compassion for Africa on her behalf seeking a sponsor to provide for her. A Kenyan family living in the U.S. chose to become her sponsor and give her a new life. Tracy is now in grade 4 at Kings Cana Academy school, catching up quickly with her peers. She is becoming a well-adjusted, loving, child and desires to please those who care for her.
Tracy was able to meet her sponsor family in Dec. 2025 while they were in Kenya for holiday. It was an emotional meeting for everyone.
